WIPIT, led by Dr. Wolfgang Weitnauer, provided comprehensive legal advice to SAX Power GmbH ("SAX Power"), an innovative energy storage manufacturer, on itsthird financing round totaling €10 million. The funds were provided by a consortium of international and regional investors. The round was led by Yotta Capital Partners, a private equity firm based in Paris. Additional investors included Alb-Donau-Ulm Kapital GmbH, an investment company of Sparkasse Ulm, and other private investors.

With the new funding, SAX Power is strengthening its position as an innovative manufacturer of battery storage systems and continuing its industrial scaling. The companyis currently expanding its production capacities at its Erbach site near Ulmand, at the same time, expanding its product range including commercial and industrial storage solutions and large-scale “megastorage” systems designed to stabilize the grid and support renewable energy sources such as wind and solar.

SAX Power develops and produces electricity storage systems using patented technology that does not require a downstream inverter, thus achieving particularly high efficiency, safety, and service life. Its systems are already being used successfully in the European market and are set to be rolled out internationally on a larger scale in the future.

With the successful completion of this financing round, SAX Power is continuing itsgrowth strategy and making a significant contribution to the energy transition through sustainable storage technologies.
