For the second year in a row, we were invited to sponsor the University of Heidelberg’s ideas competition. This year, our partner Kai Grunwald was supported on the jury by Dr. Tanja Benedict, Anna Christmann, Maximilian Jungmann, Aline Moser, and Timo Puschkasch.
The jury faced a real challenge: selecting the winners in the "Health and Future Technologies" and "Impact Innovation" categories from ten truly outstanding ideas. It was a neck-and-neck race, but in the end, Erik Jung and his team with the "Photon Connector" and Jonathan Wiarda and his team with "Ancora" (an AI-powered dementia companion) came out on top.
Second and third place went to Dr. Kendra Maass and her team with "ONCOSCAN" and Emmanuel Bairamis and his team with "CoinInspector" (in the "Health & Future" category), as well as Davide Garzone and his team with "Syntaxa" and Renuka Velu with an AI-powered visual aid (in the "Impact Innovation" category).
Congratulations to all participants for having the courage to present their ideas in front of an audience of well over 100 people. And a big thank you to the hei_INNOVATION team for making this special event unforgettable.
