At this year's Finance Day – Growth Capital for Life Sciences, held at BIO CITY LEIPZIG, WIPIT was represented by Sandra Bischoff und Britta Neß. In their presentation, “Staying within the landing zone”, they shared insights into the German Spin-Off Framework and its significance for the establishment and financing of research-based companies.
The German Spin-Off Framework aims to facilitate spin-offs from research institutions, accelerate the commercialisation process and establish reliable conditions for founders and investors. WIPIT actively supports this initiative alongside venture capital investors, technology transfer offices and leading research institutions, including the Fraunhofer Society, Max Planck Innovation and the Technical University of Munich.
Finance Day also featured a diverse programme focusing on growth capital and financing opportunities within the life sciences sector. A total of 28 start-ups and scale-ups presented their business models to investors. The programme was complemented by keynote speeches, expert presentations and a panel discussion exploring the stock market as a financing option.
Equally valuable were the numerous opportunities for personal exchange and networking, from discussions in the Capital Market Lounge and individual one-on-one meetings to the evening gathering at Bayerischer Bahnhof.
WIPIT would like to thank the organisers for an excellent event and the inspiring discussions.
